About the Team:
This role entails analyzing financial data for Shopee Thailand using SQL and Excel, leading P&L projections across various intervals, consolidating and analyzing SEA market performance, applying structured frameworks for insights, refining estimation and forecast solutions, and presenting actionable business-focused reports to stakeholders.
Job Description:
- Take ownership of projects and P&L planning at monthly and yearly level - including both initiating forward outlook, coordinating inputs for different P&L line items across different business units, and formulating recommendations to hit target across regions
- Develop in-depth understanding of Shopee P&L line items and market dynamics across all Shopee markets (Thailand and other regional markets). Strong ability to systematically optimize these line items over time
- Improve existing estimation and forecast solutions by scrutinizing current assumptions, identifying how our understanding would change if assumptions change, and quantifying these uncertainty (i.e. sensitivity analysis)
- Lead creation and management of Management Meeting Materials (discussion materials for Senior Management including Shopee and SeaGroup CEO/President)
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative fields (Engineering, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Finance or related fields is preferred)
- 3+ years of work experience in e-commerce, consulting, financial services or similar roles in other fast-growing industries
- Knowledge of SQL/Python is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint/Google Slides is a must
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
