Our client is a long-established global company in the health and wellness sector, with operations across multiple countries and manufacturing facilities in Asia. It partners with various organisations to support public health initiatives and is backed by a healthcare-focused investment group.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage global continuous improvement and automation projects throughout their lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and scope.
- Collaborate with global and local stakeholders, including operations, engineering, quality, and IT teams, to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation.
- Translate operational needs and requirements identified in tier meetings and other communication channels into well-defined project plans and actionable solutions.
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to analyze current state processes, identify inefficiencies, and develop data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Drive the identification, evaluation, and implementation of automation technologies, including but not limited to Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
- Ensure all projects and implemented solutions comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including ISO 13485 standards and other applicable medical device regulations as well as software validations.
- Develop and manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects are delivered within financial targets.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Develop and execute change management plans to ensure successful adoption of new processes and technologies by the relevant teams.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of continuous improvement and automation initiatives. Prepare and present regular project status reports to the Global Operations Excellence Director and other stakeholders.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and local stakeholders on automation and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Develop and deliver training programs to build the continuous improvement and automation capabilities of the local Surat Thani team.
- Actively mentor and coach team members to foster their professional growth and identify and develop a successor for this role.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers of automation equipment and services.
- Ensure comprehensive project documentation, including validation plans and reports where applicable, is created and maintained in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in global operations excellence initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Able to handle multiple concurrent tasks, and able to manage his/her time and deliverables independently.
