Job Description
In your new role you will:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the production of high-quality semiconductor products
- Oversee the movement of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods within the facility, including the management of inventory levels and storage
- Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and components
- Manage and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, including transportation companies, warehouses, and freight forwarders
- Analyze and optimize logistics operations to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Develop and manage budgets for logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to logistics and transportation, including those specific to the semiconductor industry (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001)
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production, quality, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective communication
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with logistics operations, such as supply chain disruptions, transportation delays, and inventory management issues Develop and implement contingency plans to address unexpected logistics disruptions or issues
Your Profile
You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the semiconductor industry or a related field (e.g. electronics manufacturing)
- Proven track record of success in managing logistics operations in a fast-paced, high-tech environment
- Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation regulations, including customs clearance, import/export regulations, and transportation laws
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team of logistics professionals
- Proficiency in logistics management software, including transportation management systems, warehouse management systems, and inventory management systems (e.g. SAP) Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards, such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001
