Position Summary
Role and Responsibilities
This position is responsible for leading training and development programs that align with strategic business objectives, with a focus on enhancing the performance and productivity of Samsung CE field force such Promoters, Supervisors, and Field Trainers. The role involves close collaboration with key business units, including Product Management and Key Account Management, to identify training needs, develop effective learning solutions, and evaluate the impact of training initiatives. It also requires staying informed about the latest product technologies and continuously reviewing both internal and competitor training practices to ensure the effectiveness and relevance of training programs
- Serves as a subject matter expert in training and development by assessing training needs, initiating and leading programs, delivering training, evaluating results, and implementing improvement plans across the entire training process
- Expert in retail and sales training, with the ability design tailored training methods for the appropriate target groups (e.g., by account, channel, or region). This role also ensuring that all retail staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales targets (ROI)
- Identify training requirements based on business direction and needs, and develop strategic training plans to enhance promoter capabilities
- Collaborate with Business Units (BU), this role ensures that every product launch and go-to-market is fully supported. Training materials are developed; training sessions meet headquarter requirement ahead of each product launch and delivered on time. Also ensure Field Trainers Team do on-the-job training and coaching to reinforce key messages
- Align with Product Management, Field Force, and Sales teams for monthly, quarterly and yearly training plans. Ensuring effective execution and alignment with company direction with the overall business rhythm
- Supervise Product Trainers and the Field Trainer team by overseeing the entire training and development process. This includes providing feedback, evaluating training effectiveness, and implementing improvements based on performance results and participant feedback
- Continuously drives new initiatives and develops training materials, including sales talk guides, visual learning content, interactive workshops, and effective online training approaches
- Stay up to date with the latest training trends, developments, and best practices—both within the brand and across competitors—to ensure continuous improvement and relevance of training programs.
- Achieves training financial objectives by forecasting training needs, preparing the annual budget, managing expenditures, analyzing variances, and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Collaborate closely with Headquarters on key initiatives, including monitoring KPIs for the online learning platform, coordinating the Best Promoters Competition, administering training and retail-knowledge surveys, and developing training manuals.
- Prepare training summaries and performance results, and actively participate in relevant meetings to report progress and align on next steps
- Directly supervise training team members, including conducting performance evaluations, providing coaching and feedback, and delivering necessary skill development training to support individual and team growth
