Job Description
- Conduct research into compelling genre ideas and market trends to inform initial concepts.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to co-design mechanics, narrative frameworks, and user experiences.
- Create polished playable demos using game engines (Unity, Unreal, or Godot), including wiring up gameplay systems, controls, UI, and visual polish.
- Continuously test, iterate, and refine prototypes based on team input and player feedback.
- Stay informed and experiment with AI-assisted design and development tools—such as AI for procedural content generation, narrative development, art prototyping, or coding assistance—to enhance innovation speed and quality.
Job Requirements
- 1–5 years experience in indie or small-team game development from concept to prototype.
- Fresh graduates in gaming-related fields with strong portfolios are also encouraged to apply. (Portfolio featuring at least one completed game demo (any genre)).
- Strong grasp of game mechanics, level design, narrative, UX/UI.
- Proficiency in Unity or Unreal Engine (or Godot).
- Programming experience (e.g. C#, C++, Java, Python) for scripting mechanics.
- Problem-solving, project & time management, clear communication, ability to work under deadline pressure.
- Ability to leverage AI tools to assist with game design and development (e.g. AI for procedural content generation, narrative design, art or code prototyping)
- Passion in game: Enthusiasm for indie game creation, a player-centric mindset, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
- Possess skills in Blender/Photoshop or any design tools for rapid UI/asset prototyping is preferred.
- Ongoing personal projects or active participation in game dev communities (forums, jams, etc.) is a big plus.
