Job Purpose
Engineer, Development Planning works with multi-disciplinary teams to conduct study on Field Development Plan. The job holder performs studies, evaluates and make recommendation on the most optimal development and investment scenarios. He/ She also prepares and liaises with internal stakeholders for preparation of asset work program and budget (WPB), ensures that work programs are executed as per approved plan or makes prompt adjustments as required.
Key Accountabilities (1)
- Study and develop preliminary design of field development concepts, architectures, processes and identify optimal development and investment options.
- Determine key selection criteria of the development options in both technical and commercial aspects e.g. operability, constructability, flexibility to feed change, environment, safety aspects, construction yard availability, contractor capability, development schedule, etc.
- Conduct technical studies to support production efficiency improvement and investment opportunity, and initiate innovation for petroleum resource development technique
Key Accountabilities (2)
- Prepare and coordinate for short-term, 5-year work program, overall asset budgeting, KPI, field life development plan, analyze and monitor budget spending, and drive for achievement of the plans
- Develop CAPEX and OPEX profiles for each development options.
- Coordinate other engineering disciplines, field operations staff and project personnel for project study, integration and implementation.
Professional Knowledge & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Chemical Engineering or related fields
- 8-10 years’ experience in E&P or related business
- Broad knowledge of engineering in all related disciplines (preferably in Petroleum and/or Facility Engineering)
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Good knowledge of computer applications
