SOURCING MANAGER, PACKAGING

Would you like to be part of the development of some of the world’s most iconic heritage brands, like Royal Copenhagen, Georg Jensen, Wedgwood? Our Global Sourcing team is seeking a Sourcing Manager for our packaging category. In this new role, you will lead the packaging procurement and sourcing strategies for our heritage luxury brands. You will focus on optimizing supplier relationships, reducing costs, ensuring sustainability, maintaining quality standards, and driving innovation in all packaging solutions. This role requires strong analytical, strategic, and leadership skills to align packaging sourcing with the organization’s overall business objectives.
This is a full-time, hybrid position and reports to our Global Sourcing Manager. You will have the opportunity to work with colleagues around the world and some international travel will be required. The role will be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for all packaging categories, including primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging with internal and external stakeholders
Analyse global packaging market for trends, identify cost-saving opportunities and stay up to date with material innovations
Drive cost-saving initiatives through competitive sourcing, value engineering, and supplier consolidation
Identify, evaluate, and onboard global and regional suppliers for packaging materials
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration
Lead initiatives to enhance sustainability in packaging, including light-weighting, recyclable materials, and reducing our carbon footprint
Full accountability for packaging spend and suppliers (i.e., contract and code of conduct compliance)
WHO YOU ARE
You are a capable and influential communicator with international experience, fully fluent in English, and adept at building strong relationships with stakeholders. Confident in decision-making, you rely on data, expertise, and a strong sense of accountability to deliver impactful results. A skilled project manager, you excel at balancing diverse priorities and expectations while maintaining integrity and driving progress.
5+ years of experience in sourcing, category management, and manufacturing within a complex international organization
2+ years of tactical and strategic experience with the packaging category, specifically with consumer-facing materials in the luxury and/or premium consumer goods industry
Advanced understanding of packaging materials (e.g., plastics, paper, and sustainable alternatives), global packaging markets, trends, key vendors, and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of sustainability standards and circular economy principles
Excellent analytical skills, including cost modelling and market analysis
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; a master’s degree is a plus
