L’Arôme by the Sea, a Michelin-selected contemporary European fine dining destination in Phuket, is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Sommelier to elevate our guests’ dining experience through exceptional wine service and expertise.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional sommelier experience in hospitality, ideally in a Michelin-starred or fine dining environment
- In-depth knowledge of wine production, regions, vintages, and food & wine pairing principles
- Proven ability to curate and manage a high-end wine program
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluent professional English (additional languages are an advantage)
- WSET Level 2 or higher (or equivalent) preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide expert wine recommendations to enhance the guest experience
- Oversee the wine program: selection, inventory management, pricing strategy, and cost control
- Ensure wine service standards are consistently aligned with the restaurant’s Michelin-level expectations
- Collaborate closely with the culinary and service teams to deliver seamless dining experiences
- Conduct staff wine training and foster a culture of wine knowledge within the team
- Maintain supplier relationships and keep the wine list fresh, relevant, and exciting
