Job Description
Sales Strategy and Delivery:
- Delivery of sales against agreed targets (directly or working with distributors)
- Direct customer ownership and sales activity to deliver;
- Customer penetration
- Profitability and growth
- End to end sales delivery across product portfolio
- Provide technical advice to customers.
- Manage individual territories and accounts.
Sales Forecasting:
- Ensure accurate and transparent sales forecasting across accounts.
- Deliver accurate sales plans, forecasting and other KPIs.
Channel Management:
- Deliver operational excellence across different channels and in collaboration with other internal teams.
- Use business development approaches to expand the customer base and potential revenue streams by identifying and setting up new customers.
- Regular reporting using Rotork CRM on activities such as market intelligence, quotations, customer visits.
Service Value Proposition Input:
- Feed business intelligence into Service Sales Manager, Regional Service Sales and Operations Manager plus End Market Sector Managers to drive growth
- Have deep market knowledge, awareness of customer network and use this to deliver growth
Regional Voice of the customer:
- Work alongside End Market sales teams to drive excellent customer relationships.
- Provide face to face communication with customers.
Sales Support Leadership:
- Working collaboratively with Application Engineering, Customer contact, end market sales and other back-office sales activities as required.
- Support new product introduction, campaign and event management where required.
- Demonstrate Rotork products and provide familiarisation training as needed to build internal and external knowledge and understanding of Rotork products.
Project Pipeline and Project Oversight:
- Review project scope for products to be added onto Approved Vendor Lists and project specifications.
Internal Collaboration:
- Work effectively through a matrix structure to build and maintain strong and productive internal relationships.
- Adhere to governance tools and processes.
- Feed business intelligence into Commercial function as required.
Qualifications
- Degree or recognised qualification in Engineering
- Good command of English, (both spoken and written)
- Sales experience in manufacturing (industrial engineering ideal) and accompanying proven track record of success, likely to be gained from at least 1-2 years in a similar role.
- Knowledge and experience of sales techniques
- Collaborative working across a variety of business units, challenging siloed thinking wherever it appears.
- Charismatic and inspiring personality with strong entrepreneurial flair and business acumen; passion for business growth
