WATER QUALITY PLATFORM
Water Quality (‘WQ”) Platform is part of the Environmental & Applied Solutions reporting segment and is a global leader in water quality analysis and treatment, providing instrumentation and disinfection systems to help analyze and manage the quality of ultra-pure water, portable water, wastewater, groundwater, and ocean water in residential, commercial, industrial, and natural resource applications. Our water quality business provides products under a variety of brands, including Hach, Trojan Technologies, McCrometer and ChemTreat. WQ Asia has sales offices in India, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Application Manager and Key Account Sales Manager to lead and expand our water analytics business across Thailand and selected emerging markets. You will be responsible for managing a team of Application Engineers while also owning an individual sales target for large key accounts, ensuring consistent achievement of quarterly booking and shipping goals.
You will leverage your strong market insight and technical acumen to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive market share growth and foster new application development.
A key aspect of this role involves championing product management in the online/process instrumentation space. You will play a pivotal role in implementing Veralto Enterprise System Tools (Visual Management, Policy Deployment, Problem Solving Process, KPI) within your team.
You will provide strong leadership through clear communication, active coaching, and talent development, ensuring your team is aligned with our vision and consistently delivers high performance.
Duties and responsibilities
- Lead a team of application engineers to deliver quarterly booking and shipping targets, and drive growth in the water analytics business.
- Analyze market dynamics and develop strategic initiatives (Gain Share, Market Expansion, Portfolio Optimization, Margin Improvement) by understanding key customers, their buying processes, and broader market trends.
- Possess deep product knowledge and clearly articulate key selling points to influence customer preferences and develop tailored solutions for specific application needs.
- Establish new application reference sites within Thailand and drive sales growth.
- Champion and embed Veralto Enterprise System Tools (Visual Management, Policy Deployment, Problem Solving Process, KPI) across the team.
- Provide leadership through clear communication of vision, active coaching, and team development, while monitoring sales performance and taking corrective action as needed.
- Drive business expansion in Thailand and/or selected neighboring markets.
Qualifications
Candidate “must haves” –
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering is required (Chemical, Instrumentation, or Process Engineering preferred); MBA is a plus.
- 8–10 years of experience in product management or application development, with at least 3–5 years in people management roles within multinational companies. Experience in the Water industry is preferred, especially in B2B sales to F&B, Electronics, Paper, Cement, and Institutional sectors.
- Proven experience leading a team of 3–5 members for a minimum of 3 years.
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial B2B technical sales or application development in related sectors such as instrumentation, automation, controls with direct interaction with end customers.
- Background in revenue-generating roles within leading organizations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple deliverables.
- Prior work experience with renowned Thai or international MNCs.
- At least 2 years of experience using leading CRM systems (e.g., SFDC, Oracle, SAP).
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Thai.
