Job Responsibilities
- Play a key role in managing daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, reliability, quality, and continuous improvement across all processes.
- Facilitate internal and external communications during and after major network incidents or outages, providing all necessary information such as the number of affected circuits and system status.
- Work closely with the engineering manager to ensure timely resolution of issues and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence, ensuring the best possible customer experience.
- Respond to business needs by enhancing cybersecurity and mitigating potential risks to both infrastructure and production systems.
- Manage the security configurations of all network devices, including switches and firewalls, utilizing available tools to ensure effective protection.
- Administer, analyze, and maintain network analytics, monitoring, and access control systems to ensure secure network operations.
- Continuously monitor security logs and conduct training to enhance network skills for effective support of critical systems, including inspecting and analyzing data for security breaches or unauthorized data modifications in compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information and Communication Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
- At least 7 years of experience in supporting network infrastructure, with proven experience in managing network or security teams.
- Strong experience in network configuration such as VLAN, BGP, Firewall L7, as well as advanced network configuration and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with network technologies such as VLAN, VXLAN, Spanning Tree, MPLS, Port Aggregation, CIDR, and routing protocols (Static, OSPF, BGP) will be an advantage.
- Experience in using network management tools such as PRTG, Cacti, and Zabbix for monitoring and performance analysis.
- Experience in virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, VirtualBox, OpenStack) is an advantage.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, with strong communication and problem-solving skills to work effectively with customers in challenging scenarios.
- Experience using ticketing systems to manage customer requests and track issue resolution.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and AWS.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in networking, including learning from team experiences and self-study.
- Possession of CCNA or CCNP certification will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, both within the team and with external stakeholders.
