We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Language Coordinator to coordinate Thai language translation and interpretation projects. This role plays a vital part in ensuring high-quality language services that support our mission and operations by helping produce materials and messages that invite all of God’s children to follow Jesus Christ. - Coordinate translation and interpretation projects with internal teams and external vendors
- Review and approve completed translation and interpretation work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with Church standards.
- Provide English-Thai translation and interpretation services as assigned
- Perform other responsibilities as directed by the Production Resource Manager
- Coordinate and maintain partnerships with external language service providers, including assessment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation
- Fluency in both spoken and written Thai and English is required, with native-level proficiency in Thai
- Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience in translation and interpretation
- Strong command of Thai and English grammar, vocabulary, syntax, and writing style
- Strong interpretation skills are preferred; familiarity with and ability to perform transcreation and work with poetic language are considered a plus.
- Ability to coordinate projects, manage time effectively, and approach challenges with a practical and positive mindset
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work well under pressure and in team settings
- Familiarity with Church doctrine, terminology, policies, and organizational structure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy
- Ability to work with translation management systems and web-based tools
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required
