We are seeking a motivated lawyer with experience in Intellectual Property, particularly trademarks; some knowledge of and experience in copyright, patent, IP litigation, and IT matters is also an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling, managing, and supervising all procedural details of trademark prosecutions in Thailand, including managing trademark portfolios, monitoring trademark prosecution processes, handling filing instructions, office actions, appeals, oppositions, cancellations, other potential conflicts, and similar matters.
- Providing legal advice on trademark, copyright, and other IP and IT issues;
- Drafting, reviewing, and advising on trademark and other IP and IT agreements, and other contract documents, such as licenses, assignments, and franchising agreements;
- Advising clients on trademark and copyright protection and enforcement;
- Assisting and working with our litigation team on IP cases at both the pre-trial and trial/appeal level;
- Researching and preparing legal advice on other relevant law, such as advertising law, anti-trust and competition law, data protection law, digital law and other areas, as may be required from time to time;
- Performing other tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Law
- Possession of a license to practice law (as a lawyer)
- The candidate should have at least 3 years of IP practice experience at a law firm
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Ability to handle cases independently and strong teamwork skills
- Willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
