About the Role
To lead and drive HPS initiatives across production operations by leveraging proven methodologies such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and Six Sigma. The role is critical in embedding a culture of continuous improvement, operational discipline and waste elimination across the plant. The incumbent will act as a change leader, guiding cross-functional teams towards achieving world-class manufacturing standards, with a deep alignment to work ethics, systems, and structured problem-solving techniques. This role will be instrumental in aligning Organization’s production capabilities with global automotive quality and efficiency benchmarks. In this role, you will report to the Director, Global HPS.
What You Will Do
- Lead the HPS function of Plant.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Identify and execute process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
- Drive waste elimination and cycle time reduction across the shop floor.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve production excellence goals.
- Build internal capabilities through training and workshops on lean tools.
- Define and monitor KPIs for HPS performance.
- Present regular performance reports and improvement roadmaps to leadership.
- Support implementation of digital manufacturing tools.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within plant teams.
- Benchmark and adopt best practices from global manufacturing sites.
- Ensure alignment of excellence initiatives with business expectations.
- Participate and provide inputs to AME to ensure best practices are implemented during product development stage.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to drive end-to-end manufacturing improvement.
- Act as a bridge between shop-floor teams and senior management to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
- Facilitate cross-functional kaizen events and workshops for collaborative problem-solving.
- Coordinate with HR and Training departments for capability-building programs.
- Work with the Engineering team to incorporate design-for-manufacturability and process innovations.
- Ensure knowledge-sharing and best practice replication across different production lines and shifts.
- Build strong working relationships across departments to foster a culture of excellence and teamwork.
- Represent the Manufacturing Excellence function in plant review meetings and customer audits
