What we are seeking:
ERM is seeking an experienced Health and Safety professional to join our growing team in Bangkok, Thailand. This role requires a proven track record in the hands-on field and operational experience, combined with strong advisory capabilities, to support clients. ERM Health and Safety team seeking a Health and Safety professional with experience in industries such as oil & gas, power generation, renewable energy, and manufacturing.
The successful candidate will bring deep knowledge of Thai OHS legislation, ISO 45001 standards, and industry best practices, with demonstrated expertise in risk management, audits, and safety culture transformation. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, and improving client health and safety management systems while engaging with site-based teams and senior leadership alike.
Responsibilities:
- Support management and delivery of low to medium complexity corporate sustainability related proposals e.g., project objectives and benefits to client, teamwork plans, deliverables).
- Support/lead in project management activities under direction from Partners (e.g. manage budget, identification of follow up opportunities, monitoring client satisfaction, manage risks).
- Deliver as trust consultant to the client t to drive safety culture including support the client development and implementation of Health & Safety Management Systems aligned with ISO 45001, Thai OHS law, and international best practice.
- Be able to provide hand on support in fiend activities to support client assurance activities this may include construction and operational activities, ensuring effective risk identification, hazard control, and compliance with safety standards.
- Support the ERM health and Safety team t provide service to the client on conduct and lead audits, inspections, and risk assessments, providing practical and actionable recommendations for clients.
- Conduct F2F meetings with prospective clients and build up your network.
- Support Partner in Charge (PIC) in interactions/commercial activities with client Account Directors/Managers to implement client and market segment specific consulting programs (market sectors Oil and Gas, Chemical, Renewable Energy, Power, Manufacturing ).
- Engage stakeholders/resources to deliver exceptional client value, including that the right expertise and competency is applied based on the scope of service being delivered.
Teamwork and Organization
- Demonstrate strong people management skills; particularly the ability to support, coach and celebrate others in order to advance employee engagement and achieve results.
- Mentor junior staff in the proper planning and execution of projects, and in directing or conducting independent technical reviews of deliverable work products.
- Manage team of up to three junior consultants.
- Identify, evaluate, cultivate and manage partnerships and relationships with senior clients, external stakeholders and key opinion leaders.
- Collaborate internally to bring our services to existing clients
- Contribute to the achievement of ERM’s strategy, along with the company’s commercial targets and ambitions for profitable growth.
- Provide leadership in communicating and enabling ERM’s health and safety culture.
- Actively engage and inspire others in the team through strong collaboration.
- Provide subject matter expertise to projects as part of multidisciplinary teams (desirable).
- Support new business development campaigns and proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Environmental science, Engineering, or similar discipline.
- 6-8 years of experience in a related field, such as private sector (power, natural gas, hydrogen, etc.)
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Excellent report writing skills. Good command of written and spoken in English.
- Strong communication and presentation skills and ability to work in a team is essential.
- Strong skills with MS Office applications.
- Strong knowledge of Thai OHS law, ISO 45001, and international safety standards.
- Demonstrated experience in audits, risk management, and safety assurance programs.
- Experience in leading or supporting safety culture transformation initiatives.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Experience of line management and/or contributing to the professional development of other teammates is a plus.
- Structured and effective communicator that can shape and deliver messages to executive level and facilitate effective client engagements.
- Enthusiasm, initiative, flexibility, and a desire to work in a growing team.
