The Deputy Head of D2C and E-commerce is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving the overall strategy and operational excellence of our direct-to-consumer and e-commerce enablement business. This role demands a visionary leader with a proven track record in managing diverse, cross-functional teams, including brand commercial, supply chain planning, live commerce, and warehouse management. You will be instrumental in defining and executing integrated growth strategies, optimizing workflows, and ensuring seamless collaboration across all D2C and e-commerce functions to achieve aggressive GMV and profitability targets. What You'll Do
Business Strategy & Growth Planning
- Develop growth strategies covering both quantitative and qualitative dimensions.
- Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and business expansion opportunities.
- Design portfolio strategy aligned with the company’s core capabilities.
- Present business forecasts and budget planning.
- Develop and execute integrated strategies that encompass supply chain efficiency, live commerce growth, and optimized warehouse operations, all while aligning with overall business objectives.
Organizational & Structural Design
- Define and enhance team structure and roles & responsibilities (R&R).
- Develop streamlined workflows to reduce overlap between internal cross-functional teams.
- Lead change management efforts to support organizational development.
- Ensure seamless collaboration and efficiency between the Brand Commercial, Supply Chain Planning, Live Commerce, and Warehouse Management teams.
- Identify synergies, resolve inter-departmental issues, and optimize workflows across the entire D2C and e-commerce enablement spectrum.
Commercial & Key Account Management
- Design GMV target strategies, promotional planning, and ROI for exclusive clients.
- Develop and oversee client relationship management systems and standards.
E-commerce Operations Management
- Develop operational strategies and workflows to ensure smooth coordination between operations, fulfillment, and supply chain teams.
- Possess a deep understanding of supply chain planning, inventory management, logistics, and warehouse operations. This includes optimizing processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Develop and implement strategies for live commerce, understanding its unique dynamics, and driving growth in this channel.
Team Leadership & People Development
- Define and monitor KPI achievement across departments.
- Mentor and grow team members to operate with high performance.
- Foster a culture that is data-driven, accountable, and collaborative.
- Manage a team of at least 10-15 members.
Stakeholder Management
- Manage more senior internal and external stakeholders, requiring enhanced communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Business Intelligence & Process Optimization (Future Plan)
- Collaborate with BI and PMO to analyze revenue, cost, and performance data.
- Develop SOPs, tools, and dashboards to monitor performance.
- Identify workflow pain points and improve SLA compliance.
- Leverage data from all managed teams to derive higher-level strategic insights, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions that impact the entire D2C and e-commerce operation.
Who You Are
- 10+ years of experience in E-Commerce, Digital Enabler, or Online Brand Management.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in e-commerce enablement, internet startups, or renowned international brands in FMCG is highly desirable.
- Have experience in team management at least 15-30 members.
- Fluent in English
- Proven track record in managing multi-functional teams in a fast-growing organization.
- Hands-on experience in organization design, strategy planning, or team scaling.
- Strong experience working cross-functionally with eCommerce, Brand Commercial, Inventory and Supply Chain Planning, Warehousing, and related teams.
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop, or Brand.com is an asset.
- Experience in enabler businesses or new department setup is a strong advantage.
