Commissioning Engineer - Data Center Business
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and execute commissioning activities for data center systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, BMS, and other critical infrastructure.
- Develop and manage commissioning plans, schedules, checklists, and reports in alignment with project milestones.
- Coordinate with design, construction, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and handover.
- Review system design, installation drawings, and submittals to verify compliance with commissioning requirements.
- Conduct pre-functional and functional performance tests to verify system integrity, reliability, and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve commissioning issues and document deficiencies with follow-up corrective actions.
- Ensure that all commissioning documentation is complete, accurate, and submitted to relevant stakeholders.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and Integrated Systems Testing (IST).
- Work closely with OEM vendors, contractors, consultants, and client teams during the commissioning process.
- Comply with all safety and quality standards, company procedures, and project-specific protocols.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in commissioning or start-up of MEP systems, preferably in mission-critical facilities or data centers.
- Knowledge of data center standards and protocols such as Uptime Institute, ASHRAE, NFPA, IEEE, and TIA-942.
- Experience with testing and commissioning software and tools is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of building systems, controls, and energy management.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary project environment.
- Fluent in English both written and verbal (Minimum 750 TOEIC score).
