Job Summary
This role will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the cafeteria, catering and Lounge, ensuring efficient service, staff supervision, compliance, and align with all international menus designed by the Head of F & B Services. Set us procedure and system to support cafeteria operations management such as inventory control, food costing & pricing, and food safety.
Responsibilities
Services Management & Operations
- Manage the daily operations of all catering services, including the cafeteria, food kiosks, and the Lounge, ensuring smooth and efficient service in line with planned schedules and standards.
- Maintaining high service standards in both student-focused and event-based catering, ensuring that services reflects the school’s international reputation.
Menu & Nutrition
- Oversee that all food and beverage items prepared and offered for sale or for events meet established nutritional guidelines, cultural preferences, food safety regulations, and specific dietary requirements of the school community
Catering & Events
- Centralize catering requirements for all school events to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality of service.
- Support catering operations for school events as required, coordinating with internal departments to meet event needs.
- Oversee logistics including procurement, storage, set-up, service, and clean-up for all food and beverage aspects of events.
- Establish presentation standards for food and beverage displays that reflect the school’s image and brand.
- Evaluate post-event performance through feedback and reporting to improve future event catering services.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure cafeteria hygiene, conduct daily safety checks, and maintain staff compliance with Feed Safety certification.
- Implement sustainability practices such as reducing food waste, sourcing responsibly, and encouraging eco-friendly service ware.
Team Management
- Recruiting, training, and supervising food service staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Supervise cafeteria staff; schedule, train, and evaluate team members.
- Ensure staff scheduling and training for event service teams to deliver professional and efficient service.
Financial Management
- Work with the Head of F & B Services on cost, budget, and pricing.
- Monitor cafeteria expenses, inventory, and daily financial reporting.
- Manage F & B budgets, pricing, analyze P & L KPIs.
- Work with the Purchasing Department to select and negotiate with vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships and liaise with external catering partners, ensuring quality, reliability, and compliance with school standards.
Facilities & Design
- Ensure catering facilities are functional, safe, and customer ready.
Other duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned: uphold safeguarding standards and school policies.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Diploma prefers in Food Service Management, Hospitality, or related.
- Food Safety & Hygiene certification required.
- 5+ Years of working experience in cafeteria or food service management, preferably in schools or institutions.
- Experience supporting multicultural menu delivery.
- Good Command of English communication skills.
- Operational management, financial management, staff supervision, POS/Inventory systems.
