Role Description:
As a Business Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring that software solutions align with business requirements and deliver value to stakeholders. Your primary responsibilities will include analysing business requirements, developing test cases, identifying potential risks, and suggesting effective solutions within an agile framework. You will also be expected to leverage AI-driven tools and techniques to enhance the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of testing processes, enabling faster delivery of high-quality software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to create focused test cases based on business use cases.
- Design, develop, and execute software tests to ensure products meet business specifications.
- Estimate, plan, prioritise, and coordinate testing activities.
- Create comprehensive test plans and detailed test scripts.
- Implement testing processes for new and existing products to satisfy client needs.
- Review automated test scripts and provide guidance for regression testing scenarios.
- Use natural language processing (NLP) to translate business requirements into test scenarios more efficiently.
- Utilise AI tools to automatically generate and optimise test cases based on business requirements and historical defect data.
- Continuously evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies to streamline testing workflows and reduce manual effort.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related role, preferably in financial services. Strong knowledge of financial services; experience in Transfer Agency is a plus.
- Proven experience in software development processes.
- Proficiency in writing clear and concise test plans and cases.
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing methodologies.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting languages.
- Experience working within agile/scrum methodologies.
- Experience in a multi-national scrum team environment.
- ISTQB certification or related qualifications is a bonus.
