Overview:
The Senior Principal Document Controller will perform routine document control activities in compliance with project / management system requirements. Distribute documents in a controlled manner with adequate quality and traceability for the timely execution of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Familiar with pertinent aspects of the Contract and Project Document Management
- Track, log and distribute document receipt and release of CB&I, client and suppliers / subcontractors, including appropriate filing.
- Facilitate, Process and Expedite the flow of technical information from all
- Liaise with project team to meet project document submission
- Support project providing reports to expedite the submission and approval of documents from CB&I, client and suppliers / subcontractors.
- Develop project specific templates such as transmittals, cover sheets, TQs, CRS, Deviation…etc.
- Perform quality check on documents (title block, revision control, doc numbering, issue purpose, format and layout checking).
- Initiate, coordinate with departments and prepare the Deliverable Document Register at start of project to capture all required client deliverables with accurate issue purpose to attain right progress.
Proncipal Document Controller – CBI TTC Operations (SPRC Project, Maptaphut, Rayong, Thailand)
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Document Management & Control: Oversee the management, distribution, and control of engineering, fabrication, and project-related documents in compliance with company policies and industry standards.
- Proficiency in Document Control Systems: Utilize Idocs or similar document control systems to efficiently manage document workflows, version control, and approval processes.
- Project Documentation Compliance: Accountability all project documentation adheres to contractual, regulatory, and client-specific requirements, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Revision & Version Control: Track document revisions, ensuring that only the latest and approved versions are accessible to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordination with Departments: Work closely with project management team to ensure proper document flow and timely updates.
- Audit & Compliance Support: Review and monitor organized records for audits and compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to internal and external standards
- Document Distribution & Retrieval: Ensure timely distribution of documents to internal teams, subcontractors, and clients while managing document retrieval requests efficiently
- Training & Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to senior document controllers and team members on document control best practices and software usage.
- Diploma or degree, with at least 8 years in handling full cycle documentation flow (from all relevant stakeholders) on an electronic document management system platform.
- Microsoft Office suite of apps related to the documentation aspect (Word / Excel / Outlook) in depth courses (classroom or online or self-study)
