Job Description
- Defining the Category strategy Lazada should adopt in the country, track/follow up on progress as well as performance tracking on category strategies
- Support Cluster Lead on specific commercial/category projects
- Running the analysis to understand the impact of category decisions on the sales and profits and refining the strategy
- Identifying assortment gaps and providing the BD team with key industry contacts
- Advising the Key Account Management team on top-tier merchant performance and competitiveness
- Driving the category pricing and marketing strategy
- Interacting daily with the Category Manager and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure the right implementation of the high-level strategy
Job Requirements
- A top university graduate/postgraduate with up to 3 years of consulting experience
- Aspiring for full career ownership in an e-Commerce environment
- 5+ years relevant working experience.
- Self-driven with openness to learn and grow, desiring to be the best version of yourself
- A resilient problem-solver with proven leadership qualities
- An agile people influencer who enjoys connecting with others (collaborative in teams, communities and effective communicator)
- Motivated with passion and knowledge across different types of categories locally, including key contacts within both international and local brands and retailers
- A proficient English communicator (verbal and written), Chinese speaking is an advantage.
- 5+ years proven business development successes across various industries including Electronics, FMCG, Health & Beauty, Mother & Baby, Groceries, Fashion, General Merchandise
- Passionate for multiple simultaneous projects, creative flow and high attention to detail
- Deep appreciation for numbers and data-driven insights to drive P&L and category performance analysis
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
