Senior Business Unit Manager Recon based in Thailand

The Senior Business Unit Manager for Thailand will be accountable for driving the overall commercial success and strategic growth of a specific business unit Thailand. This role will be accountable for achieving sales, profitability, and market share targets, while ensuring ethical business practices and strong stakeholder relationships.
What will you be doing?
- Develop and implement comprehensive business strategies and tactical plans for the assigned business unit in Thailand to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, identify emerging trends, competitive activities, and unmet clinical needs to inform strategic decisions and identify new business opportunities.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales, clinical/technical and marketing team, fostering a culture of care, collaboration, and courage.
- Set clear performance targets, monitor progress, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure the achievement of KPIs.
- Manage and optimize relationships with local distributors, influencing and driving market development opportunities.
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with distributors to ensure alignment and drive performance.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, hospital administrators, and other key decision-makers.
- Accelerate the introduction, acceptance, and adoption of products within the business unit.
- Provide market insights and feedback to regional and global teams on product performance, customer response, and competitive landscape.
- Ensure all commercial activities strictly adhere to local regulatory requirements, industry codes, and company policies (e.g., anti-bribery, ethics).
What will you need to be successful?
Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in sales and/or marketing within the medical device industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or business unit management role
- Proven track record in sales management, experience in managing distributors and/or direct sales teams
