Job Description
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Key Account Executive - Chinese Business is responsible for identification of Chinese construction/real estate projects in beginning stage and development of business and relationship with Chinese customers in the Sales Area. Key aspects of the responsibilities are building long-term relationships and expanding business opportunities with the owners, architects, consultants and contractors, which require detailed and profound understanding of the account´s business practice, strategic goals, business targets as well as capability to offer Sika products & systems to meet these needs and to enable the best long-term mutual value.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams.
- Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives.
- Prepare and present formal and informal presentations and seminars for owners, contractors, and the specifying community.
- Work with the internal team to change and attain new specifications preferential to Sika. Influence contractors/specifiers inclusion of Sika products for value added purpose and/or when they are not in specifications.
- Execute strategy to maximize sales with main contractors; identify new sales opportunities. Penetrate organization at highest level possible, building integral relationships and supporting negotiation with Chinese stakeholders.
- Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
- Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
- Exploits information database (Salesforce.com) to track project information and work with other functional support groups in technical questions from inquiry to resolution for maximum return value.
Qualifications
JOB Specification
Education:
- BSc/BA in Business Administration and/or Engineering
Experience:
- Min 3 years’ experience within construction/real estate industry
- Project experience with Chinese owner/architect/consultants
Competencies & Skills
- Good English and Chinese (Able to communicate in Thai is an Advantage)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
