Job Description:
Our client the specializes in designing and installing structures for the oil and gas industry, particularly for offshore drilling platforms.
Position: Field Buyer
Employment Status: 1 year contract
Working location: Laemchabang Industrial Estate.
Working Hour: Mon Fri 7.30 17.00 and Sat 7.30 12.00
Bus provided: On Sukhumvit main road from Chalermthai Chonburi and
Banchang Rayong.
Responsibility
- Sourcing various material/suppliers for supply as per requirements
- Bidding process, Commercial Bids Evaluation and Pricing Negotiation.
- Awarding Purchase Orders.
- Handling and following up on all special requests for expediting of purchase materials
- Manage suppliers e.g. New supplier register, Performance Evaluation
- Coordinating the receipt, inventory status and return of rental materials/equipment with suppliers
- Periodically reviewing the open purchase order files to see that material is delivered and the purchase orders are closed out
- Administrating PO Close-Out activities
- Processing Surplus/Scrap Material Disposal in accordance with appropriate Procedures
- Ensuring data accuracy and maintain documents ready for audit
- Cooperating with warehouse and buying personnel in resolving any material problem.
- Wherever possible the Materials shall be purchased from local Thailand sources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degrees in Engineering, Business or related fields
- 0-5 years working experience
- New graduate are welcome.
- Procurement experience in Oil and Gas, or Construction/Fabrication is a plus.
- Sourcing skills
- Negotiation skills are required to interact with suppliers and negotiate better prices for the company.
- Application system e.g. Oracle, SAP, MRP
- English skill for contacting oversea suppliers
- Good attitude
