We are actively looking for a customer centric and technically knowledgeable leader for our Spare Parts & Field Services professional team -unit within Packaging and Paper Business Area in Asia Pacific to drive profitable growth. This position enables you to work together with global and Asia Pacific organizations and move our customers’ and Valmet’s performance forward.
Your main responsibility is to lead a team of Product Sales Managers to promote and sell spare parts and field services solutions and provide technical sales support for our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Financial performance and related Key Performance Indicators of the Spare Parts and Field Services -unit
- Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat business.
- Pursue sales leads, visiting existing and new customers to meet sales target levels.
- Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority; and conclude sales orders to meet revenue targets.
- Assess markets within specific sales area and based on the market needs build and implement required Go-to-Market plans including but not limited to key customers, resources and key products.
- Improve Valmet’s cross-selling opportunities by referring sales leads, customer feedback, and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization so that they can respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
- Develop and sell agreements by noting the complete product and solution portfolio.
- Strengthen and lead the Spare Parts and Field Services product sales network within the AP area by identifying the key people and training the organization to meet the market needs.
- Follow, analyze and report periodically the development of product sales within the given sales area.
- Participate and support internal stakeholders in Valmet’s business planning processes and product knowledge.
- Act as a liaison point between the Area and the global technology teams, by collaborating with assigned experts from global units.
Requirements:
- A college or university degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field (prefer)
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant product sales experience, preferably in the paper and board industry.
- Strong technical knowledge on relevant paper and board production processes and key equipment.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth in a relevant market
- Strong customer focused sales mindset and capability to work with various customers on many levels.
- Experience in supporting the customers’ shutdown management processes. (prefer)
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English and good negotiating skills
- A proactive, positive and personable attitude and character.
- Competence in using MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Experience of other business management tools.
- Self-initiative, discipline, and customer focus.
- A flexible approach to work, including the willingness and ability to travel frequently across various countries in Asia Pacific.
