We are actively looking for a results-driven and people-oriented Workshop Manager to lead our operations in Laem Chabang, Thailand. This role is part of the PAC Services organization and plays a key role in driving operational excellence, safety, and team development in our service workshop.
Your main responsibility is to lead the workshop operations to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, and profitability while developing a high-performing team.
Responsibilities:
Financial Responsibilities
- Oversee the budget and financial performance of the Service Center, including Net Sales, Product Margin, Indirect Costs, and Absorption.
- Demonstrate proactive leadership and take corrective actions when financial performance deviates from targets.
Operational Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain a strong safety and high-performance culture by continuously leading improvement, HSE initiatives and ensuring compliance in designated operations.
- Ensure the Service Center meets operational targets related to production volume, efficiency, and product quality.
- Manage workforce planning and competence development to ensure optimal resourcing and skill alignment.
- Lead cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives to enhance product margins.
- Take full accountability for the quality of all products manufactured in the workshop.
- Ensure adherence to established processes and controls to maintain high-quality production flow, efficient logistics, and cost-effective warehousing.
- Develop and implement a long-term operational roadmap for the workshop, aligned with strategic business goals and investment plans.
- Drive continuous operational development in line with the workshop’s strategic roadmap.
- Lead Lean initiatives and ensure effective root cause analysis (RCA) is conducted for quality and HSE-related issues.
- Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement across all operational areas.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to identify and implement procurement cost reduction opportunities.
- Leading team to high engagement team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in workshop or production operations, with managerial experience.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Experience in the pulp and paper industry is an advantage.
- Capability to manage daily operations and planning of future strategies for operations.
- People oriented leader focusing on developing the skills and capabilities in the organization
- Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving, multi-dimensional and analytical capabilities.
- Fluent in English and proficient in MS Office ,Office 365 tools and ERP (LN Infor in benefit).
- Customer-focused with strong communication and coordination skills.
- Experience of working in customer interface and knowledge of internal processes and tools is seen as an advantage.
- Willingness to work in a hands-on environment and travel as needed.
You will report to Head of AP Workshop Operations, PAC SER Roll Services.
