Objective
The Strategic Business Development Manager will drive key business initiatives, managing strategic projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams—including Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Finance—to support Straumann's growth in Thailand. This role requires a strong ability to lead market development strategies, drive execution, and ensure seamless coordination across teams to achieve business objectives.
Role and Responsibility
Strategy & Market Development
Develop annual strategic business and market analysis, drive the strategic planning process, and track execution.
Lead long-term business strategy development, including go-to-market strategies and initiatives to address key business challenges.
Provide leadership with key business insights, market intelligence, and strategic recommendations on offerings, customer segments, channels, and internal initiatives.
Collaborate with APAC and global teams on strategic projects and business expansion opportunities.
Manage internal and external stakeholder communications to ensure alignment on strategic priorities.
Business Development & Growth Initiatives
Identify and assess business expansion opportunities, including partnerships, M&A targets, and collaborations with innovative startups.
Drive new market penetration strategies, particularly within dental artificial intelligence, implants, orthodontics, biomaterials, and digital solutions.
Establish strong relationships with private equity and venture capital firms to explore investment opportunities.
Project & Program Management
Lead and execute key strategic projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining stakeholder satisfaction.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and develop detailed project plans with clear timelines and resource allocation.
Track project progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to ensure alignment with business goals.
Provide leadership, coaching, and motivation to project teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation and ensure alignment with internal processes.
Process & Performance Improvement
Enhance internal collaboration and communication across departments to improve execution efficiency.
Drive process improvements to accelerate decision-making, reduce operational bottlenecks, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Support leadership in developing a high-performance culture by fostering ownership, accountability, and innovation within teams

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
5+ years of experience in strategic planning, business development, and project management, ideally within a multinational corporation.
Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
Proven ability to work in an international, matrixed environment with direct sales and distributor networks.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and project management tools.
