Overall governance
• Cascade WHA Group’s vision, direction, strategy and targets into Strategic Business Development’s goals, targets and initiatives as well as review, validate, gain approval on, and communicate the function’s goals, strategy, targets, and initiatives, to ensure that work optimally contributes to company’s sustainable growth and steering towards being a tech company.
• Propose, periodically revise and gain approval on Strategic Business Development policies, standards, and guidelines, to ensure efficient operation and alignment with company’s way of conduct and relevant rules & regulations.
• Approve/Veto revision of work processes and procedures to ensure optimization of business operations.
• Provide recommendations to the Group CEO, BH CEOs, board of directors, top management team and other relevant parties regarding Strategic Business Development work, to enable and advance WHA Group’s and all business hub’s targets.
• Cultivate capabilities & empower teams and the next generation of leaders through provision of guidance and utilization of coaching techniques to engender a continuous improvement environment, and to ensure capabilities readiness.

Function-related accountabilities
• Lead and drive internal and external environment analysis, including macroeconomics, mega and industry trends, and competitive benchmarking to support the Board of Directors, and senior management in assessing competencies, resources, weaknesses, and competitive advantages of each business unit which ultimately use as key inputs for corporate planning and corporate strategy development and potential business opportunity identification.
• Develop, harmonize, and review short, medium and long-term corporate strategies and plans, as well as action plans to ensure alignment with corporate direction and practicality in execution to drive WHA group toward the desired objectives.
• Develop, harmonize, and review the formulation and implementation of strategic initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs) monitoring to ensure each business unit/ function operates in line with corporate strategic directions and to ensure target accomplishment.
• Lead the development and distribution of performance/progress reports for any relevant functions on a periodic basis, as necessary, in order to ensure sufficient information provision for improvement in a timely manner.
• Lead and drive opportunities scouting, potential growth area scanning, and other related activities, including monitoring the markets and economic outlooks, and analyzing data & insights on consumers, competitors, and market conditions, to support the Board of Directors, and senior management in assessing & capturing opportunities & threats, as well as in identifying key profitability, growth, challenges and any volatilities to ultimately support corporate sustainable growth.
• Lead the feasibility studies to determine the viability of each strategic initiative, as well as the investment analysis activities such as due structuring, valuation modeling, and relevant investment operations to evaluate the potential value and risks associated with investment deals.
• Lead and drive the implementation of large/complex strategic projects (Organic and Inorganic) and strategic business partnership activities including pitching and negotiation sessions, proposal revision, and contractual term and agreement finalization to ensure that the partnership deals can be closed and meet all strategic business partnership objectives.
• Approve/ Veto operational plans of units under supervision to ensure work operations optimization and improvement opportunity.
• Lead the coordination with all units across all business hubs, to ensure rapid response to business situations, including changes in users’ requirements
• Establish and sustain mutually beneficial relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders, including building networks with key industry players across different sectors, and developing strong rapports with clients through regular follow-up sessions, to ensure effective and rapid cooperation, and successful deal management.
• Keep abreast of megatrends, market situations, technologies, systems, and tools to enable related work and propose solutions that fit with WHA Group’s context to the top management teams to reinforce operational performance.
• Develop, propose, obtain approval, monitor, and optimize utilization of resources and budget against company’s budget, to ensure optimization and the right prioritization of resources and budget.
