About the Role:
- Develop and review detailed mechanical design and engineering documents for data center infrastructure (e.g. HVAC, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, pumps, piping)
- Coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure aligned execution
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, local regulations)
- Perform system calculations, energy modeling, equipment sizing, and life-cycle cost analysis
- Provide technical input and oversight during installation, testing, and commissioning phases
- Support value engineering efforts and suggest design optimizations focused on energy efficiency, maintainability, and scalability
- Conduct field inspections and site audits to ensure quality and design adherence
- Participate in root cause analysis for mechanical system failures or performance concerns
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including at least 3 years in data center, mission-critical, or industrial facilities
- Familiarity with chilled water systems, air-side economizers, in-row cooling, hot/cold aisle containment, and integrated monitoring systems
- Knowledge of CFD modeling and thermal performance analysis is a plus
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent credential preferred
- Comfortable leading technical meetings and mentoring junior engineers
