Job Summary
A QA team lead will lead the QA teams. QA Lead is responsible for assessing services and products to ensure that quality standards are met. The quality assurance team lead develops, implements and manages test plans. QA Lead will be the change agent to drive QA process and test strategy to align with company's goal. Developing and understanding of roles within a QA team is essential to the smooth coordination of this department's work. Manage stakeholders in the project to report and ensure progress, the team lead sets milestones and comes up with criteria to track timely progress. Conduct test activity in scrum team. A team lead establishes the expected standards for the quality assurance tests and clearly communicates those standards to team and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead team to collaborate with other engineers and teams to test efficiently working in Waterfall/Agile environment
- Lead and drives quality best practices and activities
- Work with a cross-functional working environment, participate in requirement analysis and product design, implement a continuous integration/deployment process, leading team’s quality, and monitor product performance and issues in production. Provide regular quality reports and feedback to the team
- Coach QA in a team on QA testing knowledge, testing techniques, automation, QA process, CI/CD, product knowledge, soft skill, etc.
- Define the scope of testing within the context of each release/delivery to determine, negotiate, and agree on quality procedures and standards
- Specific quality requirements to achieve the desired quality level and a support team to achieve project goals
- Lead the group of QAs +2 squads up or manage testing efforts across 2+ projects under tight deadlines
Background & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related fields
• Minimum 1 year of leading a team both of manual and automation testing team
• Experienced in overall hands-on in test automation engineering with 5+ years
• Experienced in building test automation framework
• Experienced on both functional and nonfunctional testing
Knowledge & Skills
• Ability to work independently with stakeholders, be proactive, self-managed and lead a team
• Deep knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging
• Familiarity with programming languages, scripting languages and SQL to allow for defect triaging and automation
• Familiarity with agile testing and practices like Test-Driven Development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD)
• Good in teamwork and collaboration and positive attitude. Ability to work effectively under pressure, self-motivated and goal-oriented. Good command of English (Speaking, Writing, Listening)
• Excellent communication and soft skills
