Purpose
The Commercial Director will be responsible to manage the profit and loss, sales and network development of business in Thailand. You will focus on driving growth, productivity, sales performance, optimization and excellence. You will lead and manage both retail and office team by providing them with directions, being hands-on in ensuring day-to-day operational excellence and key performance indicators while upholding the brand & group standards. For our retail partners, you will visit them on a regular basis to build the relationship and act as their first point of contact for all commercial discussion while you will be supported by the regional and local team. You will work in close collaboration with HQ and South East Asia team based in Singapore.
Commercial Strategy and Performance
- Develop strategy and practical actionable solutions to grow the retail and wholesale network
- Proactively develop and manage the network – both internal boutiques, and with retail partners to ensure increased visibility and profitability
- Build and implement local strategies to develop sales, marketing, CRM and seamless client experience
- Establish and implement local marketing & communication strategy together and associated budget, to grow brand awareness in Thailand
- Lead retail projects, including but not limited to the implementation of new retail boutique opening, and refurbishment
- Monitor and share updated reports on competitor’s new boutiques, marketing activities, sales trend & events with HQ and Southeast Asia office
- Partner with HQ and Southeast Asia team to ensure that Retail, Wholesale, Operations, Marketing and Communications are delivered with excellence and within Maison’s guidelines
Client Development
- Propose and monitor local marketing initiatives and programs, to recruit new clients and nurture communities of the brand
- Create a consistent pipeline of initiatives to drive client acquisition, engagement, and increased client return rate
- Champion a clienteling mindset and have an entrepreneurial drive to drive new business initiatives
- Build and develop strong relationships with our VICs
P&L Management
- Profit and Loss ownership; propose and implement an annual budget
- Monitor the right implementation of budget expenses and follows-up of the retail and wholesale sales, proposing corrective action if necessary
Team Management and Development
- Lead and manage the boutique and office team
- Engage and motivate a team focused on delivering excellence and development by exemplifying the values of care, enriching communities, efficient accountability, and continuous improvement
- Identify, develop and retain talents
Operations
- Manage merchandising allocation & assortment for Retail, Wholesale and Travel Retail network.
- Ensure that Brand’s customer service and repairs are done in a timely manner; manage these processes using the support of Regional Shared Services, if appropriate
- Ensure that appropriate reporting is provided to Headquarters, in terms of sales analysis and finance
Training
- Organize and conduct regular training sessions for own team members, for retail partners’ staff
- Identify the training needs, and discuss with South East Asia team on specific training needs

Job Profile
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in leading retail within the field of luxury, and experience in business management
- Demonstrated exceptional people management skills, able to inspire and develop your team
- Familiar with highly matrix organization and strong stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to create and maintain good relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, able to bring in new valued business partners.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Willing to be hands-on, result oriented and entrepreneurship mindset.
