Job Description
As the Automation Engineer, you’ll be the technical backbone of our plant’s automation systems. Your mission is to ensure our Critical Control Network (CCN) and production systems are secure, efficient, and continuously improving. Here's how you'll make an impact:
Automation Systems & Process Control
- Develop and maintain Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI).
- Manage PLC programming, lifecycle planning, and system upgrades.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex automation issues.
- Create and update maintenance and operating procedures for control systems.
System Security & Resilience
- Implement cybersecurity best practices: patch management, firewall configuration, backup systems, and malware protection.
- Ensure compliance with industrial security standards and proactively close security gaps.
- Act as the local security expert for all automation-related projects and initiatives.
Project Leadership
- Lead and support automation projects, from new product launches to equipment installations and plant-wide optimizations.
- Prepare CAPEX plans and technical documentation for proposed projects.
- Train users and stakeholders on new systems and tools.
Collaboration & Training
- Work closely with process improvement teams, operators, and technicians to enhance system understanding and performance.
- Support onboarding and training of new associates and contractors in automation systems.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Performance & Compliance
- Own and track KPIs related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and Engagement.
- Ensure compliance with local and corporate standards in safety, quality, and HR policies.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and ensure data reliability across systems.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical/Technical Engineering
- 3–5 years in FMCG manufacturing (maintenance/engineering)
- Strong programming and system configuration skills
- Knowledge of IT networks, data storage, and industrial control systems
- Fluent in local language, intermediate English
