Job Title: Assistant Controller
Department: Finance
Reports To: Country Controller
Primary Scope:
Manage month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting standards (e.g., TFRS), ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Perform financial analysis and provide insights to support internal reviews and enhance financial visibility.
Ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls, SOX (or equivalent), and other regulatory requirements across all financial operations.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including Tax, Treasury, Audit, Enterprise Operations, and Global Shared Services to maintain alignment and compliance.
Conduct regular balance sheet reviews, monitor account reconciliations, and ensure resolution of outstanding items.
Drive process improvements and contribute to systems enhancements (e.g., SAP ERP) for better efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Support or lead finance-related projects, policy implementations, and local initiatives aligned with global standards.
Provide guidance to upstream finance functions to foster a strong compliance culture and ensure consistency in policy application.
Maintain high ethical standards and contribute to corporate governance and professional integrity.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
3–4 years of experience in corporate accounting, controlling, financial reporting, or audit
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Solid knowledge of US GAAP and local standards (e.g., TFRS)
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP ERP is a plus
Experience working with shared service centers and cross-functional teams
