Key Responsibilities in APS Coordination and Industrial Engineering
Drive and maintain process engineering standards within the Industrial Engineering Department and MC, ensuring consistent application of methods and planning.
Monitor and support the achievement of policy deployment targets, ensuring continuous follow-up and timely attainment of key operational goals.
Support APS (Advanced Production System) implementation, including active participation in APS workshop activities and ongoing process optimisation initiatives.
Facilitate APDS processes, focusing on LMPU (Labour Minutes Per Unit), cycle time improvement, and best practice sharing across projects and teams.
Prepare and regularly revise comprehensive process documentation, such as flow charts, PFMEA, work instructions, line capacity studies, and work balance sheets to support new business and ongoing operations.
Coordinate process preparation and trial builds for new projects, ensuring new launches are delivered on time and within budget.
Champion the introduction of new jigs and fixtures, supporting new production line setups with critical data, including LMPU, cycle time, and investment cost analysis for project quoting and QAD systems setup.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop a proactive supply base for current and future business needs, supporting both commodity and serial teams in sourcing activities.
Act as a key member of new project teams, gathering and distributing information, managing BOM costs to meet PSC targets, and coordinating the provision of all APDS project requirements.
Maintain and improve plant and line capacity in alignment with customer targets and internal efficiency goals.
Lead or participate in Go & See activities for line FMEAs, ensuring timely closure of identified issues and accurate process capability verification.
Essential Skills and Qualifications for APS Coordinator
Proven experience or strong understanding of process engineering within a manufacturing or industrial engineering setting.
Experience in APS or similar advanced production systems implementation is highly desirable.
Ability to prepare, document, and revise detailed process documentation and track production data for continuous improvement.
Strong analytical, communication, and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to cross-functional collaboration.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, APDS, FMEA, and cycle time analysis methods.
Experience with project coordination, new product introductions, and manufacturing line setup would be advantageous.
Capability to contribute to internal and external audits and support compliance with quality, environmental, and safety standards (such as ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 14001).
Relevant degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or equivalent field preferred.
