POSITION SUMMARY
The Wedding Specialist is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing weddings to deliver an exceptional and memorable experience for our clients. This role requires excellent organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to maintain strong client relationships while meeting revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for wedding couples from initial inquiry to post-event follow-up.
Consult with clients to understand their vision and customize wedding packages to meet their needs.
Prepare proposals, contracts, and manage payment schedules.
Coordinate all wedding details, including menu planning, décor, audiovisual, and logistics with relevant hotel departments.
Ensure accurate and timely communication of event details through Banquet Event Orders (BEO) and internal meetings.
Use effective sales techniques to maximize revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction and loyalty, including upselling additional services.
Determine and offer appropriate complimentary benefits to enhance guest experience (e.g., room upgrades, gift certificates).
Promote awareness of the hotel’s brand image through professional interactions with clients and vendors.
Oversee on-site execution of weddings, ensuring flawless service and immediate problem resolution.
Maintain detailed client records and update Marriott's systems accurately.
Perform administrative tasks to support the Sales & Marketing team (e.g., filing, emailing, typing, preparing reports).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 2 years of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
