Main responsibilities
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Reconcile inventory and make adjustments in inventory management systems.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of items.
- Optimize warehouse space utilization.
- Resolve issues related to warehouse operations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Utilise ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) to generate reports, manage shipping documentation, and facilitate communication with team members and other departments.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and transactional activities.
- Prepare and report on warehouse metrics, including inventory levels and shipment data.
- Coordinate effectively with departments such as supply chain, quality control, and production.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective changes.
- Support the Business Unit in all aspects of warehouse operations, including stock disposal, loss management, damage assessment, and labelling procedures.
- Collaborate closely with the Site Logistics Lead to ensure seamless execution of physical warehouse activities.
- Compile monthly inventory and Non-Conformance Material (NCM) reports, and establish visual control measures across all warehouse areas.
Receiving and stocking materials:
- Receive Raw materials, Finished Goods and Packaging., unload trucks, physical movement to/from storage location and production, examine items received, checked discrepancies such as damaged or unmarked items
- Ensure all items are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures (EHS).
- Count, inspect and log the materials received and pass the relevant papers, e.g. receipts, packing slips to the respective departments to ensure conformance to company standards and procedures.
Material planning and inventory:
- Monitor inventory control for raw materials by reviewing inventory and stock record; raise advice to production planner and Co-ordinate with production leader.
- Co-ordinate and plan with logistics/ transportation personnel for the receiving of raw materials, according to the production requirements and schedule to ensure that production will not be interrupted due to material issues.
- Assist in annual physical inventory/ stock audit.
- Monitor inventory rotation by tracking material movements, and promptly notify the supervisor of any unusual findings, deviations, or potential issues.
- Enter data for quantities of materials issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments into computer database.
Record keeping & QM:
- Maintain record-keeping systems for materials, including article numbers, dates, and lot numbers.
- Update inventory records with accurate and timely information as needed by verifying stock, records, and documents related to material movement.
- Implement and maintain the BASF (Thai) Quality policy within the warehouse department.
- Monitor EHS standards and ensure that the warehouse remains organized, accessible, and safe for internal traffic and transportation of goods.
- Maintain the workplace and working environment in alignment with plant safety regulations and Company EHS guidelines to support work safety and efficient production activities.
Qualifications
- High vocational certificate or bachelor’s degree in relevant fields.
- At least 3 years of work experience in warehouse or logistics operations.
- Ability to operate a forklift or willingness to acquire relevant skills.
- Proficient in both verbal and written English communication, or demonstrates a strong commitment to ongoing learning and knowledge acquisition.
