Key Responsibilities:
- Test Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop test strategies for WSS products, considering optical performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Test Plan Creation: Create detailed test plans that outline test cases, methodologies, and success criteria for both prototype and production stages.
- Test Automation: Maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to streamline testing processes, improve efficiency, and reduce human error.
- Optical Testing: Conduct comprehensive optical characterization tests, including spectral analysis, signal integrity, and optical power measurements, to ensure product compliance with specifications.
- Performance Validation: Evaluate WSS product performance under different environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, to assess robustness and reliability.
- Defect Analysis: Identify, document, and track defects using industry-standard defect tracking tools, working closely with the engineering team to resolve issues.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer test processes into production, ensuring consistency and reliability in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Data Analysis: Analyze test data to identify trends, assess product performance, and make data-driven recommendations for product improvements.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports, to support quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to propose and implement improvements in testing methodologies and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years or proven experience in optical testing and measurement techniques in a high-tech industrial environment, with a focus on optical switches or related optical components.
- Programming and scripting skills (e.g. VB, Python) for test automation.
- Experience with optical test equipment such as optical spectrum analyzers, optical power meters, and optical switches.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and data visualization.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with quality standards and regulatory requirements in the optical industry is a plus.
