About our group:
Slider Process is performing process development and Slider Manufacturing Supporting, as well as other cleanroom processes development (photolithography& bar assembly & adhesive development etc.). Our team is developing new slider processes or technology to meet future product roadmap requirements and driving to solve problems with thoroughness and determination, develop the tooling, equipment, or technology to support mass manufacturing with the sustainable or better machine quality, reliability productivity.
About the role - you will:
- Develop and optimize photolithography processes including resist coating, soft bake, exposure, post-exposure bake, development, and hard bake.
- Design and execute experiments to optimize photolithography processes, with a strong focus on photoresist material behavior, resolution enhancement, and defect reduction.
- Operate and maintain photolithography equipment such as steppers, mask aligners, and spin coaters.
- Collaborate with process integration, etch, and metrology teams to ensure seamless process flow and high-quality results.
- Troubleshoot process issues and implement corrective actions to improve yield and reduce defects.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation including process recipes, work instructions, and reports.
- Support new product introduction and technology transfer from R&D to production.
- Ensure compliance with cleanroom protocols and safety standards.
About you:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of photoresist chemistry, including polymer structure, dissolution kinetics, adhesion mechanisms, and post-exposure behavior.
- Hands-on experience with photolithography equipment and process development.
Your experience includes:
- Familiarity with defect analysis, CD control, and overlay metrology.
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma, or other structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Kepner-Tregoe).
- Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Able to prioritize multiple tasks, manage conflicting deadlines, and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to effectively plan, control and take responsibility for timeline and status update.
- Fluent in English communication, both spoken and written.

Korat, Thailand
Our Korat facility is our largest manufacturing site worldwide, with more than 10,000 employees. Here, our team produces cloud-based storage equipment, from individual storage components to finished drives. Employees enjoy ample on-site parking, free shuttle vans and buses within the city of Korat, as well as transportation to and from Bangkok and Khon Kaen province on weekends. At work, you can grab a delicious breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks at one of our 24/7 on-site canteens or coffee shops. We offer table tennis, basketball, volleyball, a running/walking trail, and exercise classes in our on-site fitness center. In addition, there are relaxing spaces with comfortable seating both indoors and outdoors, perfect for taking a break during the day.
Additionally, consider joining any of our employee resource groups (ERGs), such as Seagate Women in Leadership Network (SWLN), Seagate PRIDE: Thailand chapter, or Seagate Asia’s parents and caregivers group. We also have many on-site recreation events and opportunities to give back to the local community.
