Job Title:
SEA Commercial Manager, HP JV
Summary:
This position is to drive business growth of JV’s OFS and NXT products in SEA and ANZ region, achieving annual targets, manage customer relationships, contracts, and explore new opportunities with Marketing and Technology teams, coordinate with global teams and distributors to align strategies and grow market share and oversee ERP systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and service.
Responsibilities Include:
- Be in charge of business growth of JV’s Organic Functional Silanes (“OFS”) and NXT in SEA&ANZ region (“region”) to achieve JV’s annual operating and growth targets.
- Manage JV business to grow with and gain share in existing customers by providing high quality services such as order entry, supply planning and management, price and supply contract negotiation, and customer relationship promotions.
- Be responsible for exploring new business growth opportunities in new customers and/or new models of products that includes: identify new target customers and segments, lead spec-in process of products, and translate customer needs on product to NPIs etc. by working closely with Marketing, Technology and other supporting functional teams.
- Work closely with Momentive OFS and NXT global commercial and marketing team to align on Global Key Account Management Strategy for the region.
- Work closely with distributors to maintain customer relationship and identify new opportunities through distributorship channel. Regularly review with distributors to clearly manage distributor and end users’ businesses.
- Support Marketing and Technology team on collecting and analyzing market unmet needs and competitors’ intelligence and customer promotion activities.
- Own JV’s various ERP system management on demand forecast, new customer and project entry and tracking, pricing and other data relating to routine commercial operation; and when necessary, continue to access and manage Momentive’s SAP system for order tracking and monitor supply status.
- Work closely with JV’s and/or Momentive’s cross functional teams such as Customer Services, Finance, Product Stewardship, and Supply Chain to follow up and monitor order process and improve internal service.
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
- Chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer science education background (bachelor degree minimum)
- More than 5 years working experience in chemical industries
- Proven track record of successful account management and profitable business growth
- Technical service and/or technical sales experience preferred
- OFS and NXT related industry experience preferred
- Silicone chemistry and platform handling experience preferred
- Global and multinational company experience preferred
- Proficient verbal and written English
- Able to travel frequently (>60%, primarily for cross regional travel)
- Good customer relation skills
- Able to demonstrate conflict handling and problem solving oriented mindset
- Good interpersonal and communication skill to influence peers and/or team
- Strong sense of ownership and high level of passion
- Self-motivated
