We are looking for a Regulatory Manager in Bangkok who will be a vital part of our multifaceted South Asia business team and the Global Regulatory Team. In this role, you will be a hands-on contributor that can guide business leaders on regulatory strategies to optimize the position of products in the market and support a regulatory compliant culture. You will bring a high level of expertise in chemical industry regulatory affairs, be able to speak authoritatively and act effectively.
Essential Job Functions:
- Use a high level of expertise to assess opportunities and threats presented by regulatory changes and the compliance requirements of evolving legislation across a diverse range of products/applications
- Work with Business and Regulatory leaders to ensure all projects are appropriately prioritized, key goals are met on time, and that effective customer support is delivered
- Lead the program of national registrations, including development and implementation of regulatory strategies in coordination with Business and Regulatory leaders. Ensure the coordination, preparation, submission and follow up of product registrations
- Work with R&D and other functions to efficiently guide product innovation, address product challenges and develop regulatory strategies to assure the best outcome for Arxada
- Develop & maintain relationships with relevant regulatory agency officials, industrial associations, standards setting and industry consortium groups
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in chemistry or life sciences
- Business proficient in English and Thai, Malay language is also desirable
- Min. 7+ years industrial experience with at least 5+ years in chemical industry regulatory affairs
- Experienced knowledge of the regulatory framework for chemicals in SEA - particularly Thailand, Indonesia & Malaysia. Experience with regulations governing antimicrobials for preservation or hygiene applications is desirable
- Strong scientific understanding of chemistry, efficacy, toxicology, ecotoxicology, environmental fate or risk assessment methodologies
