Position: R&D Process Equipment Technician
Location: Amata City Chonburi
Reporting Manager: R&D Manager & R&D Supervisor
SCOPE OVERVIEW
- Assists R&D engineers to ensure the successful and timely launch of new products, working through feasibility and validations prior to production.
- Ensures all R&D process equipment is maintained and in proper running order to ensure consistent and reliable validations runs in the production process.
- Supports R&D chemicals, spare parts and consumables management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs daily checklist of R&D loops, environment and process equipment parameters
- Maintains and prepares R&D loops and/or production loops to assist R&D engineers for feasibility, validations runs and sample requests in the production lines.
- Planning and organizing testing schedule for R&D team
- Assists R&D Engineers to prepare and in carrying out R&D tests and other assignments, basic troubleshooting for R&D loops, solution and including in the Trans-Bonding process.
- Monitors solutions parameters regularly:
- Monitor viscosity differential between viscometer in line vs laboratory to keep in specification
- Works with experts to monitor loop performance and adjust as needed
- Viscometer monitoring and calibration:
- Monitor and control viscosity differential between viscometer in line vs. Laboratory
- Be able to use lab equipment to measure the viscosity, % solid, temperature, etc. if needed.
- Monthly review and communicate to R&D Engineers of the viscometer performance and historical record
- Works with R&D Engineer or experts for basic troubleshooting of the viscometer issue
- Assist R&D Engineer when required sending the viscometer to supplier to perform calibration for repairing and root cause analysis if needed
- Develops, maintains PM schedule plan for the loops and R&D equipment and collaborate with maintenance team
- Monitor, supply and replace R&D chemicals based on R&D new products and projects needs and waste chemical management
- Supports monitoring and maintenance of other R&D process equipment (ovens, manual coater…)
- Collaborates with GE team or/and experts to retrofits/modify R&D loop when needed
- Cleans and maintain R&D loops and process equipment
- Cross-functional supporting and act as a backup of the other TOTL R&D Technician in case of absence, or need of workload balancing
- Ensures proper GMP (5S) in the R&D loops maintenance station area and operation areas
- Ensure to follow all required procedures and follow to EH&S regulations
EHS Require
- Understand all the EHS procedure and able to apply in his/her area.
- Participate in EHS Continuous Improvement program with constructive suggestion in his/her area.
PRE-REQUISITES:
Mandatory
- Diploma degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing environment.
- Computer literate in Microsoft products including Excel and Word.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of English skills.
