Job overview
We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Computer Science teacher to deliver engaging and challenging lessons from Year 7 to Year 10, including Cambridge IGCSE Computer Science. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the digital literacy and technical skills of our students, preparing them for success in the modern, technology-driven world. The successful candidate will bring creativity, technical expertise, and a commitment to inspiring students in the fields of technology and digital innovation.
Responsibilities:
Teach Computer Science to students in Years 7–10, including preparation for IGCSE examinations.
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that engage and inspire students.
Contribute to the integration of technology across the school curriculum.
Support school events, ECAs, and the wider learning community.
Integrate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) projects into the primary and secondary curriculum to foster creativity and problem-solving.
Support the development of coding, robotics, and digital design skills through both classroom and co-curricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular STEAM initiatives and project-based learning experiences.
Inspire students to explore emerging technologies and engineering software.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ICT, or a related field (PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification preferred).
Experience teaching IGCSE or similar international curricula.
Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for technology and coding.
A collaborative and adaptable approach, with excellent communication skills.
International teaching experience is desirable but not essential.
