The Role
The Business Development Manager is to generate new business by identifying and acquiring new accounts, while also managing and nurturing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate has strong experience in sales, and account and distributor management, particularly within the power transmission industry or related sectors.
Individual Accountabilities
- Client Types: Distributors, OEM and End Users
- Industry Expertise: Multiple industries with an emphasis on Food, Airport and Logistics, Paper and Packaging, and others
- Sales Cycle: Long-term Strategic Partnerships
- Revenue Impact: Directly contributes to top-line revenue and business growth
- Team Collaboration: Works closely with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Product Management, Operations) to align strategies
- Decision-Making: Influence on pricing, contract terms, and strategic decisions
What Are We Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any relevant Field
- Industry Experience: 5 - 8 years of sales experience in the Power Transmission Belt industry or related industries (Bearings, Pulleys and Gears) including Logistics, Oil and Gas, Food Processing, Ceramics, or similar sectors.
- 3 - 5 years of End User/OEM/Distributor Management.
- Sales Skills: Proven ability to identify and qualify leads, conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
- Customer-Oriented: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer satisfaction, relationship-building, and providing tailored solutions.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (English and Thai), capable of engaging with key internal and external stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Negotiation Skills: Confident in negotiating contract terms, pricing, and solutions while maintaining profitable margins.
- CRM Proficiency: Good experience using CRM systems (Salesforce) to track and manage sales activities, accounts, and reporting.
- Time Management: Ability to manage a portfolio of accounts, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet sales goals and deadlines.
- Additional Skills: Familiar with sales enablement tools and advanced market research techniques. Strong understanding of customer needs and pain points specific to the industries mentioned.
