Job Summary
We are seeking a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of inventory processes and systems. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements, document processes, and support the design and enhancement of inventory management solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and document business requirements for inventory-related projects.
- Work with stakeholders to analyze current inventory processes and identify improvement areas.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Support the design, testing, and implementation of inventory system enhancements.
- Create and maintain process flow diagrams, user stories, and requirement documentation.
- Assist in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
- Provide user training and create reference documentation for inventory systems.
- Act as the bridge between business users (warehouse, procurement, sales) and IT teams.
- Monitor and track project progress and report updates to stakeholders.
Basic Knowledge & Skills Required
- Understanding of inventory processes such as stock tracking, warehouse management, goods receipt/issue, reorder levels, and stock reconciliation.
- Familiarity with Inventory Management Systems (IMS), ERP, or WMS software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to create clear and concise documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Basic understanding of databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) for querying inventory data.
- Knowledge of basic software development concepts to effectively communicate with IT teams.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
