Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for the management, implementation, and usability of technology systems in the hotel. This role ensure that the IT infrastructure supports all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, accounting, food and beverage systems, reservations and guest internet services. The Assistant IT Manager works closely with other department heads to meet their technology needs and resolve technical issue promptly.
Systems Management
- Oversee daily Operation of all IT systems including servers, networks, PMS(Property Management System), POS,CRM,Telephone systems, CCTV and WiFi.
- Ensure system backups are performed regularly and data integrity is maintained.
Support and Maintenance:
- Provide technical support to hotel staff and ensure prompt resolution of IT issue.
- Maintain IT hardware, Including destops,laptops,printers, routers,switches and other peripheral devices.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement cybersecurity measures to protech hotel systems and guest information.
Buggeting and Procurement:
- Plan and manage the IT budget.
- Evaluate and recommend hardware/software for purchase in alignment with hotel’s needs.
Training and Development:
- Train staff on IT procedure, software use and best practices.
- Stay updated with current technology trends and recommend innovations.
What We need from you:
- Bacherlor’s degree in IT,computer Sciense or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT support or management
- Strong knowledge of hotel systems(eg.Opera, Fidelio,MICROS, etc.)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
